The Cross-Border Road Transport Agency (C-BRTA), in collaboration with relevant law enforcement authorities, supported a Ministerial working visit along the N4 Maputo Corridor, including engagements at the Lebombo KM7 Truck Facility near Komatipoort.
The visit formed part of a joint engagement between the South African Minister of Transport, Ms Barbara Creecy, and the Mozambican Minister of Transport and Logistics, Mr João Jorge Matlombe, to assess cross-border traffic movements and operational conditions at the Lebombo Port of Entry.
The programme also included a roadblock along the Strydom Block on the N4, which was conducted by the C-BRTA and other law enforcement agencies, providing an opportunity to observe enforcement operations and traffic management along the corridor. It was attended by various dignitaries, including C-BRTA Board Members, senior officials, and representatives from key transport and law enforcement agencies.
The visit reinforced the importance of continued collaboration between the two countries to improve traffic flow, operational efficiency, and border management along the corridor.
