Profiling Unit

The Profiling unit will play an advisory role to the Agency, the Regulatory Committee and law enforcement authorities in the country and in the region through:

  • Gathering general information on traffic flows and tendencies;
  • Gathering information on passenger and freight flows and volumes;
  • Monitoring industry compliance levels and trends through the analysis of cross-border offences;
  • Creating operator profiles for both domestic and foreign operators;
  • Determining operators risk profiles, a critical function for the successful implementation of the Operators Compliance Accreditation Scheme;
  • Generation of cross-border road transport operations intelligence;
  • Assessment of risks related to cross-border operations (potential conflicts, human trafficking, and transportation of illicit goods) and advising relevant authorities;
  • Conduct investigations on operator activities (illegal operations and fraudulent activities); and
  • Advising on intelligent deployment of law enforcement resources.
