Over the weekend, the CEO was invited to two Television interviews, on Newzroom Africa on Friday, 28 March 2025, and on eNCA on Saturday, 29 March 2025.
The interviews focused on the impressive strategic initiatives that the Agency is taking to establish itself as a force in the cross-border space.
The main focal discussion points of the interviews were:
- The recent signing of an MoA with the Coega Development Corporation in Gqeberha, which includes driver training, business training for Small, Medium, and Micro Enterprises (SMMEs), planning and development of a Truck Stop and Code 14 Driver Training Programme.
- Contributing to the agenda of road safety.
- The Operator Compliance Accreditation System (OCAS). As clearly stated in its vision, the Agency remains committed to implementing quality regulation in its quest to be a leading transport regulator.
- The Cross-Easy permit application system, which plays a huge part in the Agency’s ongoing work of driving harmonisation on the continent.
- Update on the Groblersbridge, Beitbridge and Lebombo Border posts.
