C-BRTA and RTMC celebrate collaboration at Sports Day

On 26 September 2025, the Cross-Border Road Transport Agency (C-BRTA) and the Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC) joined forces for a memorable Sports Day at SuperSport Park in Centurion. The event was designed to foster team spirit, wellness, and collaboration between the two entities, while providing staff with an opportunity to engage in fun, healthy activities.
The day featured a variety of activities, including soccer, netball, morning aerobics, and team-building indigenous games. Staff participated with enthusiasm, bringing energy, healthy competition, and lots of laughter to the stadium.
Beyond the sporting activities, the event created a space for staff to connect across divisions, strengthen relationships, and celebrate workplace wellness. Combining Sports Day with Heritage Day celebrations added cultural significance, allowing participants to celebrate South Africa’s rich heritage while engaging in recreational activities.
The CEO, Mr. Lwazi Mboyi, expressed his gratitude to all C-BRTA staff and representatives from RTMC for their enthusiastic participation. He highlighted that the two entities share a close working relationship, given their joint mandate to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant road transport operations.
Mr. Mboyi further noted that C-BRTA and RTMC face similar challenges on the road, such as, enforcing transport regulations and improving road safety. He emphasised that events like the Sports Day not only strengthen staff morale but also reinforce the partnership and collaborative spirit necessary to tackle these shared challenges effectively.
The day concluded on a high note, with smiles, applause, and a renewed sense of unity and collaboration between C-BRTA and RTMC staff. The success of the event underscores the value of such initiatives in promoting employee wellness, morale, and a strong organisational culture.
