Annual Performance Awards
Introduction

Purpose
The Awards seek to recognize and reward employees in accordance to the following Performance Standards:
- Excellent performance: Demonstrated and sustained exceptional performance that consistently exceeds goals and expectations in quantity and/or quality.
- Creativity: One-time innovation or creation that resulted in time/rand savings, revenue enhancement, and productivity improvement; and/or ongoing innovative activities that benefit organizational systems, protocols and/or procedures.
- Organizational abilities: Exhibiting extraordinary skills in leadership resulting in the accomplishment of significant organisational or divisional goals and objectives; effective project management including development and/or implementation with substantial success; and/or demonstrating organizational capability leading to greater effectiveness.
- Work success: Significantly exceeding productivity, customer service, quality of care or similar goals, including demonstrating superior interactions with managers, peers, supervisors, subordinates, and customers served.
- Teamwork: Acting as an exceptionally effective and cooperative team member or team leader for a
team that has significantly exceeded the goals/objectives of the organisation or unit. - Living the values: Upholding and living the values of the Agency in discharge of duties and responsibilities.
Objectives of the Awards
- C-BRTA Annual Awards seek to achieve the following objectives.
- To recognize the efforts of all Individuals, Teams, Business Units and Divisions in improving service delivery.
- To promote good governance and accountability within the Agency.
- To inculcate the spirit of sharing best practices and excellence service delivery.
- To encourage the spirit of proactiveness, innovation, team work, and creativity.
- To encourage improved productivity levels and optimal utilization of resources.
- To prepare nominees for the Annual Transport Awards.
Scope of Application
- The Annual Award is a framework that applies to all employees who have been employed for at least 12 months in the C-BRTA.
- The Award will not be applicable to individuals, teams and divisions less than twelve months in the C-BRTA.
- The Awards will be based on the implementation of the Agency’s APP, Strategic Divisional Operational Plans, Performance Management Contracts and C-BRTA values.
