Required Support from External Stakeholders

The Regulatory Services is further supported by external stakeholders such as;

• CIPRO (Companies and Intellectual Property Commission) for issuance of company registration documents to operators
• SARS (South African Revenue Services) for issuance of tax clearance to compliant operators
• Traffic department for issuance of traffic register number for foreign nationals owning South African registered vehicles
• Traffic department for roadworthy and vehicle license to compliant operator vehicles
• eNaTIS (Electronic National Transport Information System) for access to vehicle queries in confirming the status of vehicle in terms of roadworthiness
• South African municipalities conducting cross-border operations for issuance of concurrency letters for passenger conveyance including those from our counterparts
• South African Postal Services for conveyance of cross-border permits meant for overnight delivery through their national distribution network

These stakeholders assist the operators with necessary documents in order to meet the requirements for cross-border permits prior lodging applications
