Policy and Regulation Unit
The Regulatory Business Unit is tasked with policy development, transformation programme, delivering value add service to both internal and external stakeholders and to advance the execution of the regulatory mandate. The Division is also tasked to ensure compliance to the Agency’s legislation and other related legislation, as well as the provisions of the bi-lateral and multi-lateral road transport agreements. The Business Unit is responsible for amongst others the imperative to be a more responsive regulator, align the organizational structure in anticipation for the transition from quantity to quality regulation, create greater operator value and align the Agency’s practices to that of Provincial Regulatory Entities to ensure a more integrated approach towards passenger transport regulation.
